Jo and Andrew are excited about their upcoming wedding. Jo has some concerns about Andrew's daughter, Cassie, but good advice from Jo's mother helps put her at ease. Andrew is eager to find employment outside of Second Chances, but he feels his association with his old mentor may keep him from gaining suitable employment. Jo decides it will be best to postpone the wedding until the trial of her former boyfriend is over; Andrew just wants to get married to the woman he loves. But Jo's postponement and then her statement that she doesn't know if she's going to take his last name makes Andrew wonder if she really loves him.
FOUR STEPS TO THE ALTAR is book four in the Second Time Around series following ONCE UPON A BRIDE, TWICE UPON A WEDDING and THREE TIMES A CHARM. Just like the others, I found this story refreshing and totally enjoyable. I didn't think I was going to like Antonia, but she's a neat old bird and surprised me. This series is wonderful and I can't wait for the next book to come out.
Book Summary
Frank wants to marry Lily, Andrew wants to marry Jo, Sarah doesn’t want to marry anyone, and Elaine is keeping mute.
And so go the continuing, entertaining antics of the women of Second Chances, the second wedding planning business for second time brides.
Of course, nothing is easy for these ladies: not business, not friendship, and, especially not love. Like most of us, they keep trying. But how can Lily marry Frank with her fifty million dollar inheritance at stake? And how can Jo marry Andrew now that Brian’s trial (you remember Brian, from ONCE UPON A BRIDE?) is about to get underway? And how on earth are they supposed to conduct business with so much going on?
