Kristin Daniels is obsessed with the truth, which is why she called her show Hoax Hunters. The network has canceled her show and Kristin needs something big to get it renewed. She plans to debunk the myth of the Loch Ness Monster. To Kristin's surprise, Scotland is mystical. Her first visit to a castle brings Liam Grant, who may or may not be a ghost. Usually Liam stays away from strangers but something about Kristin draws him near. The town is keeping its secrets, such as fish that are monsters, and no one will give her any answers. Kristin discovers a dead body on the beach and soon danger is stalking her. Liam refuses to stay in the background and resolves to protect her before it is too late. Can Kristin believe what Liam finally confesses or will her cynicism ruin their budding love for each other?
Mystery, romance, and the paranormal fill the pages of this passionate tale about separating truth from fiction. The scenery is wonderful, especially the colorful array of characters in Scotland. The hero is great but it took me a while to warm up to the heroine. Once I moved past her abrasiveness, I enjoyed this story very much especially the haunting mysticism.
