A bright bit of British chick-lit humor can be found in author Jill Mansell's latest offering, NADIA KNOWS BEST.

Nadia is a twenty-something landscape gardener who, after being stranded on the side of a snow-packed road, is rescued by Jay Tiernan, a rather gorgeous property developer. Despite sparks between them, Nadia does nothing because she is involved with The One - Laurie, the handsome boy-next-door/model she has known most of her life.

However, soon after the snow-event, Laurie suddenly shocks Nadia with the news that he is moving to America to pursue his modeling career and thinks they should "take a break" from each other. Understandably devastated, Nadia struggles to get back on her feet and providence has her meeting the handsome Jay again. She goes to work for Jay landscaping a massive new project and is just about to embark on a relationship with him when Laurie comes sailing back into her life saying he made a massive mistake and wants her back.

Nadia vacillates between the two men, but needs to make a decision before she loses everything. Meanwhile her whacked- out family is having a series of crises of their own, keeping Nadia on her toes trying to keep the peace while she is figuring out her own love life problems.

Jill Mansell is considered the "Queen" of chick-lit in England, and NADIA KNOWS BEST is one of her best works. While this book was released in the U.K. a few years ago, it is just now making its way to American bookshelves, and it's about time it got here. This story is fresh, fun, and fascinating -- all the good qualities of a relaxing and humorous read -- making it a perfect book to keep fans of light fiction happy.
