These whispered words reach Venetia's ears and she cannot help but overhear the unpleasant things the Duke of Lexington is saying about her and her past. Later, she makes the decision to toy with him, to make him fall in love with her and then cut him loose. Disguised as the mysterious Baroness con Seidlitz-Hardenberg, Venetia seduces Christian on a transatlantic liner. The game turns deadly once Venetia finds her own feelings interfering with her plan. Soon, it's no longer the question of how is she going to cut him loose, but how is she going to make him stay?
BEGUILING THE BEAUTY is an exceptionally well-written, fascinating story of two people uninterested in the allures of love and beauty. What started out as an act of revenge soon becomes an affair to remember. The romance blooms quite wonderfully even as Thomas withholds several secrets about each character for most of the book. Deception, mystery and the promise of something more kept my eyes glue to the pages. I could not put it down!
Readers will be enticed by the unique premise of BEGUILING THE BEAUTY where revenge brings the hero and heroine together, but it is love and desire that keeps them bound within their hearts.
