But tycoon Drake Sebastian is also in the alley. Being day- blind due to a lab accident a few years back, Drake is the only person who can see Alice when she disappears. He's come seeking her special talent to assist him with the problems that have been occurring in the Preserve on Rainshadow Island. It seems that two Old World crystals are missing, which is causing a paranormal storm that's becoming progressively disastrous for the people on the island. Drake believes Alice's talent, along with his, can avert the catastrophe, but he will not take her to the island unless she agrees to a Marriage of Convenience.

From past experience, Alice knows that MOCs aren't all that binding, so she agrees. Little does she know that Drake feels differently about their MOC, or that the red-hot storm brewing on the island will also ignite a burning passion between her and Drake. The question is whether they, as well as the island, will survive.

Returning to mysterious Rainshadow Island and the futuristic world of Harmony is always a thrilling adventure, even with all the problems to confront. The addition of characters from previous novels rounds out the enjoyable experience, making DECEPTION COVE another wonderful addition to this entertaining series. Jayne Castle again proves her writing prowess with DECEPTION COVE.
