Harrison wants her job and is doing everything to get her booted out. Harrison wants to put a resort in Christmas, CO. Madison checks into the financial aspect and finds that it could bankrupt her company. As news of this gets out, Madison is dubbed the Grinch. Joe, Madison's boss sends her to Christmas to see if there is anyway to make this project work and save the company's reputation.

Gage McBride is the town's sheriff. He is not going to let anyone cause hardship for the town that he loves. Gage is a single father, raising his two daughters after their mother walked out on them so that she could pursue her career in music.

Madison makes a great first impression when she arrives in town and takes out the Santa. What a way to meet the town people who already hate her. Gage knows that he has his hands full with her.

Debbie Mason's writing really gets you in the Christmas mood. It is a bit early to think about Christmas, but it is just around the corner. I felt the warmth of living in a small town. The people in this book take you in as if you are one of them.

The humor in THE TROUBLE WITH CHRISTMAS made me laugh out loud. Who would think one person could get into to so much trouble. We also see how Madison's life changes just by meeting these people.

Debbie Mason continues the story of the people in Christmas, Co, with her next book Christmas in July. I really like books that continue as you meet several characters and allow you to find out what is going on with the rest of the town.
