FREEDOM IN THE SMOKIES is the steamy, fast paced conclusion of the Durham Wolf series. Micah and Kaitlyn burn up the pages with wolf shifter mating that author Becca Jameson writes so well. I think readers will find that the story centers more on Kaitlyn and her "family" and the surprises that comes from her past. To me it felt like the Durham's and the fight with McKinney is touched on almost as an afterthought. That's not a bad thing but it was not what was expected. After reading the other two books, I was looking forward to Micah's story and felt it was just a little on the convoluted side, not as flowing as the previous ones. A bit of a personal let down for me, but still an amazing story and I will look forward to more from this author.
