Brody Singer is adorable. Brody works with his twin brother Flynn, from another mother. The McCauley family took Brody in when he was very young. Brody's mother had died from a drug overdose, his father was an alcoholic and his older brother Jeremy was a drug user. Brody doesn't want anything to do with the two of them, but they keep showing up in his life.

Brody and Abby don't see eye to eye on anything. But they are both attracted too each other. Neither one wants a steady relationship. Brody discovers Abby's secret of writing steaming novels and agrees to help her do some research.

So the fun begins, or should I say HOW TO HANDLE A HEARTBRAKER. The more time that Brody and Abby spend together, the more they realize that they really care about each other. All of their friends feel they would make a great couple. Abby is not sure about this, she was in a long term relationship with Kevin. Kevin never understood Abby. Abby likes sex and Kevin was not into what Abby wanted to try.

Abby and Brody both have a lot of baggage and neither is sure they want to share info with each other.

HOW TO HANDLE A HEARTBREAKER is the first book that I have read of Marie Harte. I really liked the way that the female lead character is the aggressor. I don't think that Brody knew what hit him. There are several other characters that play a part in this book. Marie Harte got me waiting on baited breathe for the next one in The McCauley Brothers to come out.
