MARKED has everything readers of paranormal could possibly want. It is action-packed with touches of humor, steamy moments with an overall intensity that will keep the pages turning. This is Zane and Janie's story ... one that readers have seen coming since book one (Fated) and with this book we see just how it all plays out. Janie is a physic human, raised since age four by her vampire adopted father so she knows the world that no one else would believe in. She knows she is important to the negotiations to end the war but can't see beyond toward her own future. Zane is a mysterious being who has a lot on his broad shoulders; he is trying to protect his family and Janie as well as bring about an end the war.
I believe the way MARKED was written makes it the perfect finale for Rebecca Zanetti's The Dark Protector series as it gives all the characters that are so loved their moments to shine again. If you have never read Ms. Zanetti's series (and I admit I find I missed a couple of them, which will be amended very quickly) do not fear this is a stand alone. For those who might be sorry to see the ending of the Dark Protectors, at the end of MARKED we are treated with a taste of the new related series "Realm Enforcers" coming out in June 2015. This one is definitely going in my TRA shelf and waiting for more.
