Josh is a former agent of a very successful band. The band has decided to go in a different direction, so Josh up and quits. Josh is now back at the hotel to help run it for his aunt. Josh's best friend Riley also lives in St Cary's and works for his wealthy aunt.
Josh wants a relationship with Sophie, Tula, wants Josh, Riley wants Tula -- what a mix up! Can this be THE UNEXPECTED CONSEQUENCES OF LOVE?
Jill Mansell's book made me want to go to the beach because of the description of how peaceful it would be to live or even work at a beach. THE UNEXPECTED CONSEQUENCES OF LOVE is very charming. The interaction of all of the four main characters is wonderful. I don't know which couple I liked better. All of them have their own story.
In the beginning the story line is a little bit confusing, and it is hard trying to keep the four main characters straight, but after getting more into the book, everything is pretty clear. THE UNEXPECTED CONSEQUENCES OF LOVE is one of Jill Mansell's better story lines. I was sorry when it ended.
Sit outside and read this book with a drink with a little umbrella in it. You will feel that you are really at the seaside.

When Josh Strachan returns to the seaside town of Cornwall from the States to run his family's hotel, he can't understand why the fun, sexy girl has zero interest in letting him-or any man for that matter-into her life. He also can't understand how he's been duped into employing Sophie's impulsive friend Tula, whose crush on him is decidedly unrequited. Both girls remain mum about the reasons behind Sophie's indifference to love. But that doesn't mean Josh is going to quit trying...
